The best known square of Utrecht. Sparkling in the summer, a covered skating track in the winter.

With a stylized Dom tower which reminds of Utrecht red.

109. The caryatids of the Sinkel Shop

Cariatides were placed in front when the Sinkel Shop was renovated to 'catering warehouse'. Good friend Tom was deputy head of cultural affairs of the city of Utrecht. He told me that the caryatids were imported from Germany. When they were placed, one of the caryatids fell from the crane. The quay was heavily damaged. Nothing can be seen of that.
